Home Plate

At Christmastime we bought the most ginormous package of compartment plates we could find at our local discount club store. We host both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at our house so we needed to make sure we had enough of the disposable stuff.

Fast forward four and half months later we STILL had some of the plates left. My son has gotten quite accustomed to eating on those plates since they remind him of the school trays. Imagine my delight while shopping in Target one day when I saw his little gem for $1.99. Reusable, sturdy melamine in the cutest fish design. So, of course I bought him one because far be it from me to ever deny him anything- ha! Dr. Frankenstein would be proud. Anyway, the plate is just too cute and the colors are so vibrant. It could almost be used as decoration, if my kitchen were blue and green or had a oceanic theme, which it doesn't so I guess it's okay to fill it with spaghetti, green beans, apple sauce and bread.
