Cute Keepsake

I have been a loyal customer and big fan of Snapfish since my son was born. I've gotten some really cool products including an annual photo book of my son's milestones every years since his birth. I consider them my "coffee table" books and they are a great and classic way to capture those precious moments.

My son is also quite the "artist" and he has been known to create some masterpieces that he usually has to explain. . .but it's only because of my apparent lack of imagination. Ha ha! Anyway, Snapfish now has this cool product that allows you to upload the scanned images of your child's artwork and turn them into a book!! How cool is that! Not to mention you don't have to worry about all that refrigerator CLUTTER- one of my serious pet peeves!

If you have a budding artist you should check it out!

Like Butta

Today I am taking a break from my hormone fueled rantings about marriage and focusing on the holiday season. After all 'tis the season to be jolly fa la la la fu- WTF?! Is it really 0nly 20 days until Christmas?!?!?

Okay, I am so not ready and this is so NOT like me. . .but I'm nothing like myself lately anyway so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I went out last weekend (not on Black Friday) to try and do a little shopping and ended up buying a few decorations and a gift for myself. They have this bath robe at Bath & Body Works. . .OMG!!. . .it is soooooooo soft and cuddly! I imagine that's what clouds might feel like. . .before you fall through them and come crashing to the Earth- but I digress, the robe is like butta! I LOVE IT! And I scored such a deal. It was on sale in the store for $29.99 and I had a coupon to get $10 off any item so I got this delicious robe for $19.99! The best $20 I've spent all year!

If you need a new robe or you want to give one as a gift you've got to check it out! It comes in it's own over sized box and a variety of colors. All you have to do is wrap it! Happy shopping!

Site to See

I am a personalization freak!! I love things that you can get your name, logo or picture printed on. I truly believe that's how my son learned to spell his name at such a young age (around his 2nd birthday) because he saw it everyday all over his room!

Here is a new site that specializes in personalized books, posters, & placemats. I love the coloring book idea and the zoo book with your child's name hidden in the background is a must-have! Enjoy and happy shopping!

Flip Flop You Don't Stop

My son and I were shopping and I went into Gap Kids (looking for a belt) and he saw these flip flops and flipped out! He said they were "cool" because they had an orange iguana on them and he said I should buy them because nobody else at his school has them. Well, I'm not so sure no one at his school has them. I think he's never saw anyone at his school with them because they can't wear flip flops to school!

He continued to plead his case and I of course was worn down and broke down and bought them. After we went into another store where they were $5.00 CHEAPER (!), I pulled out the sign in my purse that said "Sucker" and wore it on my forehead for the rest of the day.

Holey Moley

I am in the process of drafting a letter (in my head) to the Hungry Jack people- actually the JM Smucker Company. They have a serious product flaw in their redesigned microwaveable bottle of pancake syrup. The hole in the top is big enough to stick your arm in!

I like a lot of syrup on my pancakes (actually we mainly eat waffles) just as much as the next person but I don't need enough to drink! So, if you buy one of these new bottles, please be careful unless you just happen to like pancakes with your syrup!

Home Plate

At Christmastime we bought the most ginormous package of compartment plates we could find at our local discount club store. We host both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at our house so we needed to make sure we had enough of the disposable stuff.

Fast forward four and half months later we STILL had some of the plates left. My son has gotten quite accustomed to eating on those plates since they remind him of the school trays. Imagine my delight while shopping in Target one day when I saw his little gem for $1.99. Reusable, sturdy melamine in the cutest fish design. So, of course I bought him one because far be it from me to ever deny him anything- ha! Dr. Frankenstein would be proud. Anyway, the plate is just too cute and the colors are so vibrant. It could almost be used as decoration, if my kitchen were blue and green or had a oceanic theme, which it doesn't so I guess it's okay to fill it with spaghetti, green beans, apple sauce and bread.

Scentsational

Before my ranting rampage I had started a post about one of the gifts my cousin received for her birthday then I remembered the injustice I'd suffered. . .

Looking for a cool Mother's Day gift? Hit up your local Macy's and get an engraved bottle of perfume. My cousin received the large bottle ($70 retail) of Calvin Klein's Euphoria, which I had thought about pocketing until I saw that it was personalized with her name on the bottle! The bottle is sleek and cool and the scent a magnificent mix of exotic fruits, seductive florals, sensual champaca flower with a rich creamy texture of liquid amber, mahogany wood with an addictive cream accord.

Mother's all over the world deserve this fragrance!
